The Sparklers

I have directed "The Sparklers" for the past 8 years. I took twirling lessons throughout school and enjoyed it very much. I began twirling in the first grade and continued throughout the 12th grade. In 4th grade, I began competition twirling. In 1990, I won the title of "Miss Majorette of Georgia" for my division. During my high school years, I was fortunate enough to participate in the World National Championships located in Notre Dame on two different occasions. My twirling team won the state division so we competed Nationally. What an experience!

During my college years, I danced at the Basketball games on the Georgia College Dance Team. I now enjoy beginning able to do both twirling and dance through "The Sparklers" and the THS band.

I currently teach about 30 girls twirling lessons. I teach 4 different groups along with individual private lessons. During football season, I teach on Saturdays so that my afternoons can be devoted to the High School Auxiiliary and the Middle School Majorettes. Now that football season is over, my classes are as follows: Mondays - 4:15-5:00 - Group Twirl Tuesdays - 4:30 - 5:15 - Group Twirl Wednesdays - Private Lessons Thursdays - 4:30 - 5:15 - Group Twirl, 5:15 - 6:00 - Group Twirl, 6:00 - 6:30 (Private Lesson) Please contact me if you are interested in lessons! becs52472@bellsouth.net or morlanb@mcduffie.k12.ga.us
