Math
We use Saxon Math. Every lesson in Saxon has hands-on instruction along with a worksheet to complete. Saxon is in line with our new GPS standards and it covers the skills needed for our GKAPR assessment.

These students are working with cards. They are playing the game of "War." The person with the higher number on the card wins. Other skills we will cover throughout the kindergarten year are: recognizing numbers, recognizing shapes, counting to 100 by 1's, counting to 100 by 5's, counting to 100 by 10's, sorting by color, shape, size, and thickness, one to one counting, relationship terms, right and left, measuring length, graphing, simple addition and subtraction, story problems, ordinal numbers, making patterns, equivalence, and identifying and counting money

This student shows off his AB pattern his made with unifix cubes.

These students are creating designs with pattern blocks.

These girls are working hard on their sheets!
