Leaders, Rules, Family, and Friends
The picture below shows a graphic organizer telling about leaders and rules at home and school.
We learn about different rules during this unit. One of the safety rules we focus on is what one should do at a stop light. Be sure to listen to our Traffic Light Poem !

We make graphic organizers to show our family, pets, home, and favorite family activity.
Daily Writing
The pictures below show students writing in journals. We do this at least 3 times a week.

Each month we work on writing a "Perfect Paper" about a certain topic. For the month of August, our topic is Our School. The students below are working on their first "Perfect Paper."
Each week, we feed Mrs. Sound Muncher something that begins with the letter of the week. The student below is feeding her an owl for the letter Oo.
One of our class rules is to raise your hand for a turn! These Busy Bees are following the rules!
